As a newbie i'd like to know what effect will the extended PSE trading hours have on the market? What are the pros and cons?

CON: baka puro wait and see ang pira. staring contest lang unless may news. Hintayan ng poreyn news etc.
CON: SA EMPLOYER!!

PRO: Might bring in more liquidity, thus more activity. That is kung pump in more funds ang poreyns.

Pero the extended hours if coupled with linking asean markets, ayos to. Siguro trail blazing lang ang extended hours before that happens.
pabor sakin kasi wula pa akong trabaho hanggang ngayon haha... just to keep myself busy... Big Grin
ayoko!

Maapektohan beauty sleep at golf ko mwhahaha!

If integrate ang PSE sa bourse ng ibang countries (Malaysia or Thailand daw ba?) Good if (for example) the Malaysians and the Thai will buy PSE stocks, tataas value natin. E what if local pinoys naman start buying THEIR stocks, instead of buying OUR stocks, di ba ma-aaffect ang index ng PSE?

In short, parang we are hoping THEY buy more of our stocks than WE buy more of their stocks... tama ba interpretation ko?

sir kylerner, increase in liquidity = good. medyo OT na, but here is a very good paper written regarding the benefits of the ASEAN stock market integration. i agree completely dun sa point 3 nya.
