Mga pre,

Ilang shares yung binibili nyo pag nagte-test buy kayo ng stocks?
Nataga kasi ako ng COL. Pag Board Lot 100 pala at minimum shares ang binili mo, -2.43% agad yung kelangan mong bawiin. Angry

For blues?
For second liners?
For third liners?
hi sir jaydee, a lot of your question depends on how big is your entire portfolio and para saan ang test buy mo?

sa COL account ko, puro board lot lang. halos lahat one board lot. sa kapiranggot na pera ko sa account na yun siguro more than 20 stocks andun. the reason is pang pitik ko yung COL account ko to check who the buyer/seller is.

sa other accounts ko, wala akong "test" buy per se, bawat hit ko, is a real "buy". portion allotment nalang depending on type of stock at risk tolerance.

Naka-accumulate sila sa akin ng estimated 2500 Php for all of my transactions, eh most of them are just test buys.

So, I figured I must be doing something wrong here.

Sad

Parang ang sarap yata magtayo ng brokerage firm - buy or sell, panalo lagi.
sir jaydee, the commission fees your brokerage charges you is based on a fixed amount OR a fixed percentage of the VALUE transaction, WHICHEVER IS HIGHER.

kaya the bigger the transactions, the lower will be the percentage of your charges vis-a-vis the value of the transaction.

to state an example.

if you buy five board lots of MEG (1 board lot = 1000 shares, total is 5000 shares) at 2.00, your cost for the transaction would be 10,000.00 pesos.

the commission charged to you for this would be the same as if you bought

1 board lot of TEL (5 shares) at 2,000.00 (total value transacted = 10,000.00)

assuming that your broker charges php300.00 per transaction or .0075% WHICHEVER IS HIGHER, then your total cost for buying the shares would be either php300 which is the minimum fee or 75 pesos (from php10,000.00 x .0075%). so in this scenario, you would be paying php300 pesos.

# the minimum fee and the above percentage is only an example. it all depends on what you have agreed with your broker.

always consider average cost

ORE : 5.19/share
1 boardlot = 100 shares
total: 519.00
fees: 22.45

total cash outlay: 541.45
average price: 541.45 / 100 = 5.41

so instead na sa 5.19 ka plan pumasok, actually, nasa 5.41 ka na due to the lot size.

better if you're not sure if you want to trade or not, don't place a buy order. you can test naman sa mga virtual games like sa pse stock market game or sa virtual tycoon of citisec.

Ah... Now I understand.

Thanks for tip boss mike_g.
may nag compute akong kaibigan...
The more money for investing, the better,
