...meron pala 'to stock dividend?

Max’s declares P259.2 million as stock dividends

LISTED restaurant chain Max’s Group Inc., formerly Pancake House Inc., is set to issue its 100-percent stock dividends worth P259.2 million next week.

The company disclosed on Thursday its distribution of 259,210,840 common shares at a par value of P1 each, or equivalent to an aggregate amount of P259,210,840. All stockholders on record as of August 22 are entitled to receive the declared stock dividends on September 18. These will be taken from the company’s increase in authorized capitalization from P400 million to P1.4 billion. Max’s Group is principally involved in the development, operation and franchising of food brands, namely, Max’s Restaurant and Pancake House. Either directly or through subsidiaries, it also owns and operates other restaurant brands, such as Dencio’s, Kabisera ng Dencio’s, Teriyaki Boy, Sizzlin’ Pepper Steak, Le Coeur De France, Maple and Yellow Cab.

It also locally operates global food brands Krispy Kreme, Jamba Juice and The Chicken Rice Shop. For the first half of 2014, the group’s consolidated revenues grew by 2 percent to P1.85 trillion from P1.82 trillion in the same period last year.

Store sales reached P1.54 trillion, 1 percent higher than the P1.53 trillion it recorded by end June 2013, owing to a wider store network and larger customer base. Commissary sales increased by 15 percent to P258.2 million because of higher revenues of franchisees.

However, franchise income (franchise and royal fees) decreased by 13 percent to P55.8 million mainly due to the higher number of franchise stores that opened in the same period last year.

Comm, isn't this the same dividend that was given by PCKH; except that the rename to MAXS happened before the payout, so they have to re-issue the announcement?

In a prospectus filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the homegrown restaurant operator pegged the maximum offer price of its equity offering at P29.50 per share, a 13.46 percent premium from its last closing price of P26 apiece on Friday.

The FINAL OFFER PRICE will be determined on October 31 after a book-building process. The offer period will kick off on November 4 and will last until November 10. The shares will be listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange on November 17.

It is quite surprising that newspaper publications are coming up with amount of the follow on offer when they stated that it will be determined through book building process.

As I stated in my previous post, all computations done were purely speculative.

Attached is MAX's latest disclosure for your guidance.

Bro, the best thing to do is to wait for the final FOO price, but if you want to gamble then buy below 29.00, then cost ave just in case, for me I'm gonna wait for the final price unless it will go down to 15 before the final disclosure. hehehe. caveat Big Grin

RE: MAXS - Max's Group Inc. - cobol - 09-15-2014

I will wait din. No need for haste. Holders ng stock dividend baka magbenta pa yan during and after pymt date. For long term kaya mas cheaper mas ok hehehe.
