Filinvest Land gets approval to list P3-B bonds
DEVELOPER FILINVEST Land, Inc. has bagged the fixed-income bourse’s approval to list P3 billion worth of debt instruments by the month’s end, a disclosure on Friday showed.

The Philippine Dealing and Exchange Corp. (PDEx) approved the listing of P3-billion, five-year and three-month fixed-rate bonds which will be issued on Nov. 29.

"The PDEx approval paves the way for the secondary market trading of the

will be due on October 7, 2016," Filinvest Land said in the disclosure.

The company began selling the bonds on July 7, with the Gotianun-led East West Banking Corp. as the bonds’ sole selling agent. Proceeds from the bond issuance will be used to finance capital requirements for the year, Filinvest Land said.

Capex plans detailed

FILINVEST LAND, Inc. is looking to match next year the P12-billion spending programmed for 2011, with expenditures seen to be allotted mostly for new residential projects. “We are looking at a capex of around P10 to 12 billion. We’re still finalizing it, but it will be about the same or only a bit higher,” said Joseph M. Yap, Filinvest Land chief executive officer and president, in a chance interview on the sidelines of the listing of Filinvest Land’s P3-billion fixed-rate bonds on the fixed-income bourse yesterday. Filinvest Land had originally earmarked a total of P12 billion in capital expenditures for 2011, more than double last year’s figure of P5 billion. To date, the company had already launched seven new projects and 16 additional phases of existing ones, with an estimated total sales value of P6.9 billion. The company earlier said it will be launching P5.2 billion worth of projects to bring its full-year project value to P12.1 billion, 17% higher than year-ago levels. This may include new investments in medium-rise buildings, high-rise condominium units and condotels in Metro Manila, Cebu City, and Davao City, Filinvest Land had said.
