With the permission of TS and Sir Ollie, pwede ba nating extend yung discussion to cover COL2x and Margin Accounts in general? (or create and another thread? )

Mali nga ako.. I never used COL2X.. I always use cash deposits to fund my accounts.. lalo na pag may nabalitaang news.. nagmamadali akong magtransfer ng funds. Lost opportunity if di na ka abot deposit ko (esp if check deposit)

BEST Example last week nung bumagsak ang market... plenty of SALE going on.. bought MBT and SMC as much as nagkasya sa cash ko.. because I was 98% sure these 2 companies will bounce back.. and they did.. (SMC more than MBT though) So kumita na ko konti.. pero sayang if i had margin account and used it even for 2-3 days lang malaki laki na sana kita... tsk tsk (2 days is .10 % interest lang...)

Kaya nag-apply na ako ng Margin account.. sayang din opportunity.

The trick is to avoid temptation and making (too much) gamble buys..

Yung mga experiened Margin Traders dyan kwento naman kayo ng mga experiences nyo...hehe

COL2x Margin, UP ko lang po.., I've had used only my Margin thrice, and I only used it to a DIVIDEND PLAY, BPI, GLO and latest is AP. I only used whenever I am almost 90% sure that I will profit when I use it!, for a 200k php Margin, it only cost 112php a day, a high dividend yield stock is a MUST when using Margin with a dividend play, kasi parang meron ka ng assurance na tubo kana agad, hindi kpa nagtratransact, the BUYING and SELLING of a stock will cost approximately 1.22%, so greater than that of a dividend is a must, so that remaining is your advantage in profiting,
My Latest example was AP, with a dividend yield of 4%, I sold my AP with a lost of 2% in price, but actually i PROFIT 2% because of 4% dividend yield of AP. Big Grin, Hope I can help. Big Grin

sir hector28, i'd rather use live since the difference in fees with my live brokers are marginal, also, some brokers offer more than T+3 (T+X depending on what you agreed upon), PLUS margin.
