Using the formula for EPS and applying the data from EDGE...

Earnings Per Share Formula is

Net Income - Dividends on Preferred Stock divided by Average Outstanding Shares

82,639,000/422,718,020 = 0.19

Where:

82,639,000 equals net income based on income statement of current year, quoted from EDGE

422,718,020 equals class A + class B shares

And a man, a man provides. And he does it even when he's not appreciated, or respected, or even loved. He simply bears up and he does it. Because he's a man.

To RM:

On page 47 of 142 of the Annual Report 2013, the Book Value in the Presentation is 8.88 while EPS is at 0.39 which is equal to BV on the Cover Page of their Annual Report.

Maybe you can write to PMPC to rectify the error by stating " I want to confirm if which is more correct, the BV on the Cover Page of the Annual Report found on http://edge.pse.com.ph/openDiscViewer.do...JE6nC.dpbs or the BV on the Presentation found on Page 47 of 142 of the Annual Report 2013. Also, the EPS and BV values are the same. Is this a typographical error? The same is true for the Quarterly Reporting for June 2014.

Note: Just got curious about the differing computations so did another check on the Annual Report of 2013.

Impossible maging pareho BV at EPS as far as I know. Following the standard formulas, there's no way pwede yun. I really do think it's simply a case of someone messing up the data.

Gotcha Com. Also, I think someone needs to inform COL and FMSEC asap tomorrow about the book value of PMPC. They are inadvertently hyping the stock with that bloated book value lol. Based on my own due diligence nasa 8 php pa rin BV niya, same as the computation for previous years. Be reminded that EDGE is also a recent innovation so they're still prone to error like any new org.

I called up the office of EDGE. According to them, the attached files sent to them are to be considered as the primary source of information and the information written on the financial valuation part of EDGE to be a secondary source.
