My main investment goal is to build up a portfolio for passive income good enough to support me and my wife in retirement. but since I've been a forex trader my whole career, I cannot help but do some punting, hehe. By the way, here is my portfolio (from heaviest to lightest), and the reasons why i like (or dislike) these stocks: 1. LPZ - share buyback, below BV, ABS election yr, stable income, Bayantel unloaded, but observe caution as this is a Lopez co. 2. POPI - ALI bought controlling stake at 2.25, so this is a very cheap Ayala co. 3. BPI - another Ayala co., 2% div yld, but 2015 flat income disappoints, so i'm looking to unload this soon (at around 91.00) 4. MBT - owners support the stock price, 1.2% div yld, but 2015 flattish income so I will also sell this soon (maybe at 89.00) 5. VLL - share buyback, below BV, decent income growth, 3.33% div yld (atleast 0.15 dividend this Sept), risk is this is a Villar co. 6. PF - this is the first stock I bought last year, bad choice so far, saving grace is 3% div yld, a SMC co. so this is questionable (tho SMC and TFI stock performance this year gives me hope) 7. FLI - below BV, steady income growth, 2.9% div yld (expect 0.05 div in June) 8. V - below BV, but income is flat and ROI is low, originally bought this as a stock div play (100% last Jan), so far not so good banking stocks are safe, div yield plays, but incomes are flat. property stocks are always a tad riskier, but my view is instead of buying a condo as investment, i'd rather buy the condo developer. stocks are a lot more liquid, and property investment I believe is overtaxed (capital gains, VAT, DST, registration fees, annual property tax). hope this can be helpful, especially to new investors.
