the key to trading success is to focus on how much money is at risk, not how much money you can make.

trading is simple, but it's not easy. if you want to stay in the business, leave hope at the door, focus on specific setups, and stick to your stops.

Suspension lifted

THE BOURSE has lifted the trading suspension imposed on Cojuangco-owned Central Azucarera de Tarlac, Inc. a memorandum circular showed late last week. Trading of the listed sugar miller’s shares will commence tomorrow at 10:30 a.m., as the firm had already paid the corresponding penalties for its non-submission of structured reportorial requirements for financial statements (Securities and Exchange Commission Form 17-A) since June 2010. Aside from the trading suspension imposed back in November 2010, trading of the company’s shares was previously halted from November 2006 to February 2007 after it also failed to submit earlier financial statements, previous reports showed. According to its latest financial statement, Central Azucarera de Tarlac grew its net income by 47.88% to P60.91 million in the nine months ending on March 31 this year, from P41.19 million last year, on the back of a hike in its products’ market prices, even as operating expenses rose by 14.43% to P105.13 million from P91.87 million for the same period. The Tarlac-based firm has yet to release its second-semester financial statements. This, as sugar output for the year 2011 to 2012 is expected to experience a shortfall, the Sugar Regulatory Administration said last month.

PSE adjusts trading schedule
THE PHILIPPINE Stock Exchange (PSE) has pushed back settlement deadlines for end-month transactions to make way for an upcoming national holiday according to a memorandum circular issued by PSE unit Securities Clearing Corp. on Friday.

Brokers were advised that transactions conducted on Nov. 25 will be cleared on Dec. 1, while those undertaken on Nov. 28 will be cleared on Dec. 2. Meanwhile, Nov. 29 transactions will be cleared on Dec. 5. This was due to a regular national holiday on Nov.30 commemorating Bonifacio Day.

Normal clearing schedules will resume after the break, the local bourse said.
